Software Development Manager

Information Technology

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a Software Development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and enable team members talent and career development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software development efforts with organizational goals.
  • Ensure that the development of software aligns with the company's long-term strategic objectives
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software applications, ensuring technical feasibility and scalability.
  • Oversee integration of internal and external systems
  • Lead complex development tasks
  • Participate in the implementation of CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment cycles.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous coding and documentation standards, testing procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Ensure completed tasks meet deadlines and established standards, including business and audit control requirements.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to determine their relevance for the team and the business.
  • Communicate effectively with senior executives, technical leads, and key stakeholders
  • Present complex technical concepts and solutions in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, including 4+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Hands on experience using JavaScript, including frameworks like React, Angular, and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js), databases (SQL, MySQL etc.)
  • Lead the design and development of APIs, focusing on JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, etc.) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js).
  • Familiarity with consumption of 3rd party APIs (Restful, SOAP, WCF)
  • Extensive experience in software development using C#, JavaScript, and .NET frameworks (.NET Core, MVC, ASPX).
  • Solid understanding of system integration, database management, and cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in Developer Utilities (e.g., Visual Studio, Rider) and experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery).
  • Strong familiarity with XML, JSON, and working with integration tools
